Golden Units are mechanical milled semiconductor packages that you use in your manufacturing process for calibration purposes. The packages available are Ball Grid Array, Gull Wing or J-Bend packages. We specialize in Ball Grid Array.

Golden unit ensures that your production devices are inspected to the accuracy you expect. The use of the Golden Unit as a comparator helps your inspection system generate a measurement report of all leads or balls to the certification report that comes with the Golden Unit. The Golden Unit can includes know defects such as coplanarity, pitch, offset, bent lead, standoff, etc.

This inspection process is usually in the final stage of the integrated circuits manufacturing.
